I disagree, I think there's a lot of players in the world who would bring in a bumper croud - maybe not the general public but there's a fair amount of Eurosnobs who wouldn't come to regular Nix games who would come to see someone with international caps from one of the major European or South American nations. And there's a lot of players like that and I think a lot of Eurosnobs.
I don't think it's worth it though, but it could be done.

just wonder how a player like sami khedira, plenty of caps and a wc with germany, would do? Or even a hitzlsperger, 50+ caps for Germany, and even time in the uk yet I don't see him, or of his ilk, improving crouds to warrant investment.
Yeah, I think we're making the same point here - that there's plenty of players who would put more bums on seats and increase TV ratings on a short term basis but none of them are likely to be value for money . they wouldn't generate enough revenue to pay for themselves and would potentially disrupt the balance and culture of the team.
