Haven't we got, at the very least, another 4 years (if we want them)? In which case, that seems a bit of a misleading and inaccurate little quote there. 

As I understand it we still need to apply.  And if we dick around too much then they might be allowed to say no, but its likely they say yes.  I think.

I haven't listened to the last couple of Phoenix City's (oops) but it seems with the new collective bargaining agreement, approaches can't be made to players with contracts past the end of the club's licence until a decision has been made on whether the club will get an extension on their licence or not. So it seems that most of our 24 contracted past this season are ok, though McGlinchey and Krishna have their contracts expiring anyway.

Couple of things, because of our licence situation not sure how likely players like WeeMac and Roy are keen to sign extensions and any players we would like to sign are likely to pass on us.
