Two things have happened here in my opinion to actually help our cause:

1 - The proposing of the Cronulla Riots franchise as a possible replacement for the Phoenix has highlighted massive inadequacies in the way the FFA actually think. And the fact that the only clubs who didn't publicly support our plight were the ones who are currently being propped up by FFA cash just further proves that they are only concerned with winning battles and not the war.

2 - The timing of the Banned Supporters saga close after the announcement of the Wellington Phoenix Metrics in a way actually helped our cause somewhat as, I believe, it also showed that our crowds may not be the largest or loudest in the League but we are probably the most family friendly place to watch football!

A 10 Year License extension is now a realistic possibility but thinking back prior to these two events I didn't hold much hope I have to say.
