Phoenix Ownership - Rob says FTFFA (Part 2)

I was scribbling bits down while they were talking.  Apart from what others have already said I thought these were significant:

Ernie and Rob both talked about the licence deal's impact on the ability to sign good players going forward.  Ernie wanting two at the pointy end and repeated his comments about some exciting players that they are looking at and talking to.  Rob not against marquees, saying McG is one and Burns was one, but "will not pay superannuation to aging European players."  No problem bringing in good quality players from overseas.  Seemed quite philosophical that "they'd lucked out with Jeffrey" after him looking like he could have fitted in well.

Deal includes an understanding with FFA on more promotion of the A League in NZ, which would be an ongoing dialogue. 

Dome was asked about NZF: he said that he felt that a lot of good had come out of the licence communications with NZF, both organisations with the same general intent and now working on how to develop this together and work side by side. And despite the recent problem that he was more positive now than he had been working with NZF.

Ernie said at the end that Krishna was only 4-5 weeks away.

Rob was asked if he had feared for the club - said not the first time he'd been turned down on something, ask the wife, but you just look for how to get around it..
