What I worry about is if the owners decide it's not worth it. They're running the Phoenix for Wellington and New Zealand but on the face of it does NZ or Wellington even care?

Interesting that Bosnich has actually said what the metrics are, that's the first time as far as I'm aware that the categories that we're being assesed on have been stated - whether or not that's true I don't know.

he also said we're in there instead of an Australian team. Why not just expand, if there's plenty of teams ready to come in, why not bring them in?

That is why it bothers me that his comments went unchallenged (because this is bollocks). We're there because the league did not have enough viable local AUS teams so a provision was made to have one NZ team. Yes it could be reversed which is why I think we need to keep our nose clean as a club. But I think we do, and the reasons why FFA might want to cut us loose have nothing to do with our playing style, our results or our membership numbers.

We could equally suggest to Bosnich that the league would be a financially healthier place if CCM and the Jets amalgamated to create one high quality club with lots of local support, because they have poor results and low attendance numbers (with apology to C-Diddy and Midfielder)...... . But this is surely not the way to go.   If the teams are financially viable then you have to grow the product not diminish it.
