I'm avoiding all A-League related media after that loss. There was a lot of good will for the team after the first few rounds but I have no idea that everyone is on the nix out band wagon.
Actually, I lie, I listened to the 442fm podcast and they were saying that they talk to Phoenix supporters and none of them (us) could give them a reason why the Phoenix should exist. Obviously they haven't talked to Phoenix fans and are just talking crap.
I can give a number of reasons why we should exist but, sadly, none of those reasons currently revolve around on-field performance.
I must admit in a low moment on my couch Saturday night my thoughts did turn to exactly what the point of the Phoenix was. We've got to show that there is something there to get behind and we will always be judged more harshly than other teams
