I think Gareth has a habit of saying what he thinks without thinking through how they will be interpreted, he probably wasn't being insensitive in his own mind and definitely went on a Trump like tirade at the media for skewing his intentions afterwards. But, a lot of people associate the Phoenix with him negatively, a lot of people think he's the sole owner because he's a publicity hound and the others are more reticent. It would be nice if he was more taciturn but he's not and so his relationship with the Phoenix does hurt the teams brand.

But, if there's no one else and he's writing cheques then who am I to complain.
