if the club would make some kind of statement denying they are selling then it would kill all the speculation and make anyone who was supporting it look like the fools they are (I hope). As has been the case this season, the club's silence is embarrassing.
Do you honestly think that if Welnix came out right now and said "we are not selling, this is a furphy spread anonymously on a blog and taken up by gullible Aussie journos", they would be believed? Would, for example, NP eat his words, or would he be all like "WE SHALL SEE, IT STILL LOOKS FISHY, TAKE OFF YOUR ROSE TINTED GLASSES"?
The question about lies and gossip is always whether denying them would just give them more oxygen.
