The big question.
Will an independent Hal, run by the current clubs introduce P & R.
Reading the article and looking at NZ history to date in the A-League it seems whats wanted from the NZ perspective is an MLS type structure with all clubs guaranteed a place forever regardless of performance both on an off the field. Essentially a closed tier franchise model. With each club regardless of performance receiving equal distributions of revenue.
The push by the State Feds, and the NPL clubs is for P & R to be introduced between 2024 & 2027. Further there is a push that any future broadcast deal involve a % to the second division to help build it up. Again would the existing clubs take on board the idea of funding a second division.
Lets assume, club ZZZZZZZ get an average of 10 people to a match, never wins a game, and has a goal difference of 8 goals a game. Do they stay in ?????? if the answer is no .... then at what level do you draw the line ????
