Sorry Blew but where in the world is there any sporting franchise that has split their ownership not only between 2 cities but 2 countries. Just the fact that Welnix have entertained this idea shows they really havnt learnt much about running a football club or what  a club means to their fans. They may be clever business men but they dont seem to get that running that same model over a football team may not work especially in the market they are in

Or they realize it's not really working and to sell up and let another bunch of people remove the "Wellington" from Wellington Phoenix so they don't look like the bad guys? To be fair can you blame them? They've given it a good go but there's some much against them.

They don't make any money.

They had a recent coach who is considered very good, (Ernie), who imploded and left.

They hired another one who was rubbish who thankfully left.

They hire marquee players who just go to pieces when they get off the plane at Wellington Airport.

Their Wellington sports Mega-facility never got going.

They've never addressed the homegrown media disinterest apart from that one attempt with Daniel doing the cooking segment on breakfast telly, (Actually that was under the two T's and he was a natural).

They've never managed to get the crowds consistently in. (mind you everyone is struggling)

They never got a new stadium planned yet alone built.

New Zealand football never liked them.

I've got no idea what they want to achieve at the moment. Prizing the FFA's fingers off the A league seems to be the big thing and it's killing us in the media.

I don't think the split country model is a serious proposition for a minute. Someones playing games
