My thoughts, they maybe looking at a MOU with Sydney where they get a cash injection, maybe train there and have an Australian base for overseas game. Will probably also mean 2-3 "home" games there as well.
This also gives the WelNix an out to maybe get some cash if next season goes belly up. Instead of just losing their license and getting nothing they can sell it off to this Sydney group and recoup some cash for it.
I'll also add WelNix don't want to do this negotiating and the independent A-league negotiating in the media but the FFA and others are doing so which is why we are getting these half true stories and will continue to do so
