I mentioned Meyn as a possible saviour last week. But he looks more the sort to invest in infrastructure than a football team.

Handa san who sponsors the Handa Prem, and once sponsored the Black Aces a team in South Africa’s PSL, was another possibility I thought.

Basically after 6-7 years no one in NZ, has thrown their hand up that we know of.

Auckland City is an interesting one. FIFA want to move CWC to a 4 year cycle, plus Tee Dubs have broken their stranglehold. Without a regular annual CWC attendance, they must be reviewing their options.
