442 click bait on team numbers
Lucas Radbourne-Pugh has tried to make out there is a difference in their statements, but there is none.
"The APFCA believes that it is essential that the 10-team A-League expands in a strategic and sustainable way, as quickly as possible," the statement said.
"Ultimately, the ambition must be to expand to numbers that will allow for a season based only on home-and-away fixtures.
"Such a schedule will require at least 14 participating clubs and optimally 16. The benefits of achieving a home-and-away fixture schedule are clearly evidenced by existing leagues around the world. "
That says not a word in support of the "demanding the League A League is expanded to 14 teams" claims at the top of the article. "Ultimately, the ambition must be to expand" is noway, nowhere a DEMAND.
wrong thread? on the beer again? or one day you will reveal the master plan that you have been relaying to us in code on this board that none of us know yet? :-)

This is important:
"It is vital that there is no cannibalisation of existing markets in the process of expansion."
I prefer the sentence before it!
"It is imperative that the value of existing licences are protected and enhanced by any expansion, including the licence of Wellington Phoenix, a club that has the full support of the APFCA membership."
