Thanks for that piece on the “value of a statistical life”. But can't see GM mentioned in it or re his friend

That's such controted logic. Here's the basis of my number. An acquaintance of mine died having been denied a course of drugs that would have cost Pharmac $10k (FYI I found out after the event). An action that speaks much louder than nutbar words from the Ivory Tower.
