Is the college system in the Us really benefitting our player stocks? How many players have gone through that pathway and where are they now. It seems to me it is just a money making scam for those who are providing the pathway and kiwi kids are buying into it as they think it is the only way they have a chance of going pro.

Its not a path that's going to suit everyone, but its a valid pathway to some, and for those kids not yet good enough for pro football, but hope to get there in the future and are also academically able, it is a pathway that can also give a solid foundation to life after football if they can't make it should they go to a good university.
