Junior, he just did.

Also, I am the world's last Emerson, Lake and Palmer fan and proud of it.

I`m a bit concerned Doloras and I have something in common

I still listen to ELP "Pictures at an Exhibition" occassionally. Just another Mussorgsky cover band though

If Griff goes to China then we need another  U21 player

Not a centre back but I thought Luke Rowe would be the obvious choice

UK Kiwi.

Yes, that is what I thought.  Not sure there is an NZ Centre-Back knocking around in the ASB Prem who is up to it (obviously excluding Ivan) .  Unless we sign this Aussie we have on trial who got the pair the other night as we're not tied to signing a back,

What's Bryan Bran doing now? He was obviously close-ish to getting signed pre-season.

True dat! although in our team at 34 he would hardly push up the average first team age!

Why would you bring in yet another LB? Lindsay and Nick the Greek not enough? I would put money on Musa being known to that environment, short term and also the fact we have no CB cover with Durante on 4 yc...

(until I see Lindsay start play in an A League game for the Phoenix in the midfield, he is a LB. Running around against TW is not the same thing)

Lindsay got a run for the NZ residential team against Wiatakere at left back because they only had 10 players and no left back.
Played all his age group rep football for Auckland in the mid field.

I saw the same thing UK Kiwi. I wouldn't know about what else he has done.
Mind you Mulligan was played at a RB at the Phoenix and I think its fair to say that one has been put to bed well and truly.

Griffiths isnt a Left Back, so his possible leaving wouldnt mean us signing a replacement at that position, it would be a CB that is needed.

Lindsay is CM which Ricki said when he signed him. He seems versatile and has played at both fullback in the past, which is quite a nice thing for the team to have

I see this a bit differently. I'm hoping that Ricki has something more exciting lined up and that Griffiths is being offloaded rather than being head hunted. Griffiths did ok but I would still rather have say Boxall or McKain along with Marco coming in. Of course I might be wildly over optomistic about it.

Might be?

Boxall is driving home to Vancouver as we speak which doesn't strike me as a sign he's coming here.

Weren't Muscat and Sanchez supposed to re-sign today? And have I missed something, is Marco coming back?

First point not sure but not that I was aware of. Second point no, just rampant speculation after new manager for victory plus jan transfer window coming up.

Anyone heard of Kayne Vincent? Former NZ U20 and Waitakere striker? Just came off an 8 game stint in the Victorian prem league where he scored 7 times. Was a prolific scorer in the I-League. I reckon he deserves a look.

One of a list of players I wouldn't mind seeing trial in a Phoenix shirt.

I am a little worried that there is no news on Muscat and Lindsey re-signing. Didn't Ricki say he hoped (expected?) them to sign before the side left for Oz?

Ricki should swallow his pride and give Marco (Roddy) a call.

Fuck this stupid game

Yeah. He did stuff all as a bit part player at Waitakere United. Made his name playing where? India? Barracking a nobody for your first post? Must be a friend or related since you know his record well. Next...

Haha nah actually I don't know him at all. Just throwing it out there, a young Kiwi with a good scoring record, albeit in the I-League. I follow a lot of of NZers playing abroad and he looked like he was doing alright. Never saw him play for Waitakere so was just throwing it out there and see what the opinions were.

I reckon, Marco wasn't even in the squad last night. What a waste of talent. So much hype about him before the season and then they never play him. Bring him back!

Can't see him returning, my money is Roddy will see that as a backward step and will send him to Europe.

He'd have to be super special as Ricki tends to look at Aussies first for youth and up and coming spots.

Any news on Griffiths trial?

Marco is on a 2 year contract with the Tards so bringing him back would cost money that we just don't have.

You can't buy players off other A-League clubs, people would be hoping he asks for a release to come home.

It's not so much he asks for a release. He is their youth marquee who also counts as an import for them. If they want to bring in new players they don't have much room to move and will have to offload some. And quite a few of the ones they might want to cut would be unwanted anywhere else. The youth status complicates things because they would have to bring a new youth player in but there could always be multiple changes. But you are correct in the fact that transfer fees are not allowed between a-league clubs.
