What amazes me about this is that people think if we play route 1, we will be better. That involves passing the ball over a longer distance and is inherently less accurate than a short pass.
I dont get that our players arent able to play the shorter ball...
I dont think it is so much the inability to play the shortball, it is an inability to play the shortball quick enough, meaning the space / the intended recepient is under pressure when they receive it. We are having the same problems in this regard that Victory did earlier in the year. They have now moved to the point their passing is quick and fluid and are looking quite good. Hopefully with further time our passing will develop. May be blind hope but.......
