come on guys, i don't think anyone is saying that the same players, and the coach that have been ok for the last how many years are all suddenly shit

most of the 'negative' comes attached with good reasoning and clear explanations

things are not ok at the club and in the team.  you cannot expect the forums to be like Disneyland right now

the 'though shalt not criticise anyone' brigade on this forum a getting a bit nauseating

I'm actually not saying 'lets not criticise anyone. I'm saying that this signing needs to be looked at with a large dose of perspective which seems to be sorely lacking. The negative people have front footed already with 'it should have been a midfielder/crap PR spin from Ricki/whats this kid going to do/Stein has been shit (again, did I miss any?). He hasn't even arrived yet. It was the same with the Cernak signing and he is not doing too badly. Hogg was called the messiah before he even got near the training pitch and the replacement for Lochhead.

70% chance he is going to do nothing and flop. 30% chance he has the goods and does something good for us. With 6 rounds left in a dire season, is it actually worth getting dialled up about when he has done nothing yet? This loan has low risk written all over it. I hope he does well and we get a chance to sign him. If not, in a few weeks, I wont remember him or care. I will feel better knowing he was not signed outright with a deal for next year and thus affecting the cap with another crap player. As it is Totori will be here for next year. He should never have been offered a player option for next year on his signing. It should have been at the clubs option (with it not being exercised). Thats the kinda dumb shit we should be avoiding and have done so on a 6 week loan.

Perspective.

these 6 games need to be used to steady the ship and establish a base for next season.  bringing in a 6 game loan signing is pointless if you are serious about giving fenton and boyd as much exposure as possible, or allowing a class player like huysegems to play his way into form.

if the 6 remaining games are pointless enough to be wasted on experimental signings, why not bring in clapham or de vries?

once again, if he's class, i'm wrong
I think Fenton and Boyd are now known quantities. Fenton will have a good career I think. Boyd, not so sure at this stage although he is still young and to be fair, he was developed by Edge so god knows what basics he has missed out on.

I get what you are saying about Stein but then a few other players would need to play into form too and get the ball to him in the right space. I don't think its fair to argue he is out of form when really, he has hardly had touches on the ball because we have been so poor.
You have a valid point around DeVries and Clapham.
I also understand we are only allowed to sign 23 (now 24 as there is an injury replacment for Pantelis) so without looking deep into it, we much be close to that number now.
