You'd think NZ based on us probably being better than them (I know nothing about their football, I'll be honest) and the fact that his life in Sudan didn't sound very good at all.
Plenty of factors could be involved, he could see himself as Sudanese first and feel that nationality more important to him. Or he may see himself being able to make more of an impact for Sudan (a la Winston Reid with us). Either way I hope that if he ends up being considered for the All Whites, he makes his intentions known and doesn't screw us around a la Asmir Begovic. Naturally I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and wishing him well
