Not necessarily - coaches in some markets have the job life expectancy of a gnat - win the league or you're gone.
 
A deal to coach the All Whites through to the next WC combined with an extension on his Nix contract may be equally or more attractive - the trade off may be $s for job security and the enticement of another WC.
 
Whatever his decision in fairness to all concerned he needs to make it sooner rather than later.
