One thing this tour has shown is that there isn't as bigger difference between the a league and the EPL as people thought.

All I heard up to this week was the bottom EPL team would smash the top a league team. F**k them :)

We wanted the heat - we got the heat.

We can sneak this I reckon,at least a draw

West Ham are probably lucky they didn't play Brisbane or Victory. Could have been far worse, victory would have killed them on the counter.

Really good football by both teams, Phoenix working really hard and applying some great pressure. End of the first half probably showed up a little bit of the gap in quality between the sides, but overall very pleased with the shift so far.

Hope we can sneak a goal, 1-1 would be a fantastic result.

One more thing.

Man- how sick am I of seeing Mossy come halfway for the ball in the big games, stop, and then see it lollypop over his head. Good saves and all...

I would 100% rather watch an A-League game than this utter guff again.

Ah Steve-o is back. Worried about you mate. You were happy before!

Really happy about Doyle. He looked good- go back to the well and see if there are any other fullbacks there! Seems like a really good find.

Piney and Chote- yes please!

Newcastle will be happy with their hit out. So many injuries. West Ham- dire. Pleased with the boys- worried we didn't get our shots on target in this game- Dura missed with his header...

I was sure that backing up after 3 days we would fade badly but credit to the lads they put in a good shift. First 35 minutes we went head to head with them...we played some really nice football. Half time was 6 shots vs 3 to the Nix......shame they were not on target. Our finishing was not good.....I hope Brockie is not going to have another poor season.

The whole EPL tour concept has been great. Hats off to Welnix. It has put football on the front page. It has given the team and the Nix supporters a huge boost in confidence. I am actually looking forward to next season.....we won't top the table it but we will give lots of teams a good run for their money.

I have huge confidence in Ernie.....the style he has introduced is fantastic. They are actually a joy to watch.

So who impressed? Did any player impress enough in the two games to warrant either of these epl teams to have a closer look?

Absolutely unforgivably discracful, I am going to write to the club and register my disgust at this. A minute's silence with Maori singing... just inexcusable. If they wanted to pay a tribute with a waiata, then they should have done so AFTER the minutes silence.

I was offended. Embarassed. Furious.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Embarrassed after weve had 3 minutes silences and 28,63rd minute applauses for them at every game. Maybe you're just racist. Waiata was beautiful

I agree. I thought it was a nice touch. Nothing offesive about it.

For the record, I agree, it WAS a beautiful waiata. It was the timing of it DURING a minute's silence I found offensive. Had it been before, or after it, then cool... but it wasn't.

great game. Toon could have had a few more goals but nix did not disgrace themselves and there was very good footy on show. Fast, precise passing. Outstanding defence, good shape. Just need some work in the goal scoring dept.

Looking forward to the new season (where are our passes?).

Pat on the back again Phoenix, you played well. Even after Newcastle scored you kept your composure and pressed forward. You didn't needlessly give away possession, even when under pressure. If Brockie could only be better at placing his shots it could have ended 1-1. I think Krishna would have slotted that. Pity McGlinchey couldn't have played. I'm impressed with how the Nix are progressing.

Looked good with 30,000 in the stadium. I think the whole tour has been a big success (unless I guess if you're a WHU supporter). I admire Welnix's ambition and courage.

agree, there are other things to argue about:

1. the ground announcer - useless

2. the Topp Twins - pathetic

3. Mexican Wave - surely we're over that

4. The deafening music

5. The haka - ok, but overdone

5. The recorded message as you leave the ground

as for the game - I'm very encouraged by the Phoenix performance

Who is the announcer ? Can't believe he sad shit like

"coming out is number 12, in is number 7...."

"Frab...ris..ciooo.....Coll...o.ci...HAHAHAHAHAHAH !!! HAHAHAHA !!"

Stupid ****

At least read the team sheets and practice pronunciations before you turn the mic on. It was embarrassing.

Top twins ???? FFS. Say no more.

Oh and does the board at Westpac Stadium still not know THEIR SPEAKERS ARE FUCKED ? You can't hear anything properly, It's muffled.

But the worst thing was the announcer. Just terrible.

Brockie had a poor game. To some its a visceral display of effort charging goalkeepers, but then in the next play he is too tired to chase after the ball. Thats just inexcusable. And when in on goal he put his head down and just smashed at it. He really really needs to work on his positional play and keeping his head up.
