Excellent news! Might have to work on a pre-game pub
As a Nix supporter I go to the Elephant and Wheelbarrow in Northbridge  2hours before kick off.
It's the home of the Perth Glory Supporters (Egan).
It would be great if more Nix supporters fronted to take on the RIVALS pre game.
It's approximately a 15 to 20 minute walk to the ground.
I will be wearing the Nix's away top.

I personally have nothing against you guys.

I personally hate Adelaide, Heart and those Melbourne Knights c**ts back in the NSL.

There is a bloke that drinks there every home game wearing a nux home top, is that you?

Love for the nux fans to come to the ele. I will be more than happy to have a beer with you blokes. glory2012-04-05 20:33:05

There are certainly other Glory fans that do hate us, maybe that is a strong word but would probably rather see us fail miserably.

The whole Rivalry Round thing has grown on me. The three games between the two sides this season were probably the three worst games of football to watch, because the teams cancel each other out in terms of the way they play.

And ever since we became locked in the battle for third place, I've been going for the team playing against you (for the benefit of the Nix), but you always seemed to come out on top.

So basically, rrrrivals.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/sport/football/6703229/Glory-skipper-Burns-hits-back-at-Phoenix/

The winner of Saturday's match will take on either Brisbane or Central Coast next week, and it seems the Phoenix are already planning for a victory over Perth.

"Through the grapevine I've heard they've packed all their gear so they can go straight onto the next game for either Brisbane or Central Coast," Burns said.

"We'd be more than happy to send them back with all their extra gear."

Thanks for underlining my point. Motivation for them, Burns being a smug c**t and a giant jinx.

Should have shut up about it.

We seem to have come across rather cocky.  Laughing stock we will be if we lose.

Meh, it is just being practical for the chance that we do win. Perth would probably do the same.

Allegedly

Quite possibly but I bet they wouldn't tell the press.

I'm hugely disappointed by this.

Only because the owner and coach are too busy attacking the fans for the players to be given any publicity. Luckily it's dropped off recently...

I was just thinking the same thing.  Did Gareth or Rob or any of the other owners make the trip over there?

I just watched the highlights of the Sydney game and noticed Wayne Roberts had done a nice dye job on his hair.  Wonder if Ricki has considered doing the same.  The job has aged him.

sorry do not know which pubs show the games, a couple of seasons ago we used to watch away games at stellar but if they have a band or the rugby is on they usually sjhow those instead. you could try ringing them to find out 3457278

i will be watching on computer so if you get stuck feel free to pm me and you could come watch it on a huge 19 inch screen

Watch out Glory: As good as your defence may be when it comes to taking care of set pieces and the wide areas there does little doubt that Leo Bertos can cause problems if you allow him to run and gun at you.

Hes shown plenty of times this season that he has the skills on the ball, but it might just be his delivery from set pieces that becomes the biggest problem for other teams, his six assists for the season has him ranked equal third in the league.

Bertos also claimed Goal of the Week two weeks ago with a wicked, swinging free-kick that left Mat Ryan stranded just off his line and against Sydney FC two of his pinpoint crosses led directly to Phoenix goals.

To see Bertos at his most dangerous, click here.

Watch Out Phoenix: While Bertos may prove to be poisonous for Perth Glory, it is true they could just have the antidote in Josh Risdon.

Somewhat of a fan favourite at the Glory and a candidate for the NAB Young Player of the Year, Risdon has come of age in season 2011/12 and even represented the Australian Under 23s towards the end of their failed Olympic bid.

The stylistic defender not only has speed to burn, but is dogged when it comes to making sure he puts in physical challenges and his forays forward often create an overlap for the Glory, allowing the likes of Shane Smeltz and Billy Mehmet to get into position in the box.

Thanks holeinone!  It is actually for my parents who have become addicted to the Nix over the past three years and are camping at Wanganui. I will pass on the info re Stellar but I don't think you want them turning up to sit round your computer!

Just hope we give a better performance than the one in Adelaide last year. There's no doubt we're huge underdogs for this game, but not reason we can't do it. Perth don't scare me.
