have we got the home playoff?

if perth lose we have!

...oh, and it helps if we beat ccm too

We do have a Home Final provided that Noocastle dont score a bucketload of unanswered goals in their remaining two matches!

Virtually guaranteed if we defeat the Salties on Friday!

Will probably fly up for a home semi-final.  Can't wait for CCM game so I can book my tickets right away.

This. Suddenly ALL the pressure is on Melbourne/Sydney/GCU as they have everything to lose going into the grand final. The points difference becomes irrelevant (capatalising on half of our draws wouldve had us closer anyway). When we make it i'll rate the Nix to 'upset' anyone of those 3.

Re booking your weekends ahead:
IF
We finish fourth and win our home semi against the 5th team,
we could have another home game the week after if the 6th placed team beats the 3rd placed team.

The third / sixth game could be between Sydney/GCU V Perth/Jets. First team at home.
Anything could happen with that combination in a one off game.

Warning: Potentially frustrating question for patient minded answer... Might not be easy to remain patient.

It could just be that I am having a long day in the office and my brain isn't working but can someone please explain how the A-League Play Offs work for the top 6?
After round 27 how does the top 6 break down exactly?, you have an un-even amount of teams for quarters and semis so how does it work out right?

Signed,

Dazed and confused and potentially temporarily simple... Dwyer.

1st and 2nd play off over 2 legs (the first 2 weeks of the playoffs) for the right to direct entry to the grand final. The next 4 teams down play each other in a mini-knockout tournament (semifinal of 3v6 and 4v5) over those first 2 weeks, for the right to play the loser of 1v2.

The 3rd week is the loser of 1v2 vs the winner of the 'mini tournament' for a spot in the grand final. (the winner of 1v2 having a bye this week)

Week 1:
1A) 1v2 first leg
1B) 3v6 straight knockout
1C) 4v5 straight knockout

Week 2:
2A) 1v2 2nd leg
2B) Winner of 1B vs winner of 1C

Week 3:
3A) Loser of 1A/2A vs Winner of 2B
3B) Winner of 1A/2A has a bye

Week 4: Grand final
Winner of 1A/2A vs Winner of 3A

I suck at explaining things.

Unfortunately I cannot see Newcastle beating either Sydney or GCU at the moment.

Jets have beaten GCU twice already this season so they may fancy their chances there.

What TIME is kickoff next week? A League suggests an early one at 2pm!!!  Surely not???

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Interestingly, last nights crowd was higher that the highest crowds that CCM, NQF, NJ and GCU have had all season. We're 5th on average crowds this season. Great effort.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!
