To be fair, the only reason people are leaving McCowatt out of the starting line-up is because the assumption is that Piscopo, Davila, and Ball are more advanced/have more to bring to the table at this point in time. But we haven't seen enough of any of them right now to truly know that.
Saw enough from Ball vs Strikers to think he'll be the goods after a preseason. Davila and Piscopo I'm with you on though, no minutes for either yet but you'd expect an import and our first ever transfer fee to walk into the starting XI and, if they aren't, you'd have to ask wtf Uffie is doing.
We have had plenty of instances over the years where a visa player hasnt stepped up for what ever reason.No need at all to ask wtf Uffie is doing if he has the same thing happen you cant expect all of them to come off no matter how much effort is put in to checking them out.
These guys have been here for most of the preseason (one more to come notwithstanding). If injury free, with an extended preseason, you would hope to see all imports (+ Piscopo) in the best XI on day 1. If they aren't and its because McCowatt is very, very good, then whatever. However, if they're busts then yeah, that reflects poorly on Uffie. I can and do expect them all to come off, that's what it takes to be competitive in this league - wasn't true in the past but the level of the league and the imports has increased and if you aren't maximising production from imports then you're at a disadvantage to other teams.
