Might try to make both games, family and weather permitting. The Weka park one might actually be a nice excuse to spend the day out of town - just need the weather to play ball.

I happen to be in Welly on Sunday, thinking of heading to 14:30 game. Is it easy to get there on public transport?

Not really. Guess it depends also on where you're coming from.

That probably means it might be CCM for the 3rd game they are trying to arrange cuz CCM have been streaming their pre-season games.

No 2 Bus to Miramar shops then  transfer to No 18 and get off at Darlington Rd dairy (Closest stop to Weta cave drivers know)

From Karori take a No 18e to Darlington Road Miramar.

He mentioned it in the context of the NZ games, so I would suspect it would be the Weka Park game or the TeeDubs game given we haven't heard anything about a Miralympic stream.

Planning on dropping in with the family. Only live 5mins bike ride away. Will there be any sausage sizzle sales? My 5 year old asked. If not can we chuck a few on the barbie? Also is it free to get in? Others we know might be keen.

Yes, its free entry. Post #5 says Blew is gonna be running the BBQ today from 1:30pm.

Thank. We may bring a couple of sausage along for a late lunch as suggested then. Weather is stunning over here today so it going to be a cracker day.

Seen a couple of the young Phoenix lads down here in Miramar. Getting a bite at the bakery so I’m guessing that means they’re not playing. Professionals don’t eat savouries before a game do they?

definitely not playing and they probably went out last night

God has never created anything better for a hang over then a couple of steak and cheese pies for breakfast

The barbe and sausages on bread with sauce is also probably the ideal lunch for them

Squad announced, really hard to tell formation but Sutton's starting - youngsters Ben Old, Henry Hamilton, van Hattum and Joseph Lee on the bench

Permalink Permalink

Old, Hamilton and Lee are Academy kids? Being an unofficial game, its a shame we are not giving Raphael Le'ai a run.

A lot of unfamiliar faces here, finding it hard to work out who’s who. Guess that’s the nature of hitting the reset button every season.

Sam Sutton, 17 year old midfielder that played with the WeeNix last season. I think he was their captain.

If MiramarOlympic score it’ll be from down their left flank. Elliott tucking in far too much from what I was seeing.

Edit: too his credit has put in some good blocks.

Anyone have eyes on the pen call? I only saw the man tip over didn’t see the challenge.
