doing well in terms of the league table. Potentially meaning crowds big enough toward the end of the season that we would make at least some money off those games. Instead we'll be at Hutt rec where the best we could hope for is to break even from those games (which would be great if we weren't performing well on the table).

Surely we do not get charged by the Westpac Stadium for the games we cannot play (CWC). Surely Hutt Rec is charging us less per game than Westpac - so even if we get 8K pax (which we are edging towards now) I am not sure we would lose a lot of $$$.
Yeah hence break even. I know they had to have 3 games to even reach the point of doing so due to the cost of the stands, catering, licences etc. And that's good.
I just mean to say if we got 10k+ at the same games at Westpac (if our league position was good toward the end of the season) then we'd be potentially missing out on profiting from games by being at hutt rec.
Hutt rec games are good at the end of the season if we are doing poorly like last season, but a potential missed opportunity if we are doing well.
The Hutt rec games are ideal for the Middle of the season when we never get crowds anyway. That is assuming they become a thing in the future and not just a one off due to the cricket World Cup.
