why no Team of The Week for DeVere and Taylor, without whose quiet and restrained performance we would not have kept a clean sheet?

True. I do not know if Talay is the best tactician since Talay simply plays to the plan that Graham Arnold put in place at Sydney FC way back when. But I do recognise that Talay is a superb manager, and he seems able to recruit well and get the best out of the players recruited. He seems excellent in being able to correctly read player potential, professionalism, and personality.
And, I am also old enough to remember that we were not supposed to even last as a HAL club past this season.
