Steinmann out. Ball unlikely.

Is Steiney injured or suspended?

Also, is Rufer 100%? I thought he was named in the squad to play CCM but then he wasn't even on the bench?

That injury looked nasty to me and I thought he'd done some serious damage

Feels like there's more to his injury than we thought. Didn't the same happen the week before?

Hopefully steinmann is just a suspension . Thought he played superbly on the weekend.

Whoops. Thought he picked up his 5th.

Cancel that.

Hasn't played A-League since Rnd 1, not sure if he has played any Y-League games. Probably should get a run for the WeeNix in the curtain raiser tbh.

Might have been caused by people hearing Piney and Fred saying "is that his fifth?" in the game commentary.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Ufuk Talay says David Ball is having a scan on his injured hip flexor today. He said Ball says it feels better today than when he did it on Saturday

Quoted from Domey, this Sat v @wswanderersfc is tracking as strongest Wellington pre-sale this season. Be great to have 10k there to help solidify top 4 position

Steinmann was fantastic in the first half, running the show, but errors crept in a bit in the second half.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Never ever trust Domey with crowd estimations.

That wasn't an estiamtion. He was stating a fact that presales at the same time are the strongest yet.

Great stuff.

Would love to see 10K crowd there on Sat.

Ball was very impressive in the last match playing as the No.10. It's a pity that he injured himself and had to leave. After his departure, the attacking flair for the Nix had disappeared even with Davila on the pitch. I believe Davila could've bagged himself a handful of assists if he hadn't taken the shots himself in the 2nd half. Played a bit selfishly on Saturday. Hooper had a great start scoring in his 2nd start. Hopefully Wilson brings more attacking flair as well because Piscopo is on international duty.

Talay obviously decided to switch to a more defensive formation after Ball injury, but surely this is not the lineup we should see take the field against WSW.  Look forward to a more attacking formation even if Ball is benched as a precaution.

Yeh, a little bit of what I critcised Davila and others for at first- being greedy. Which is great when you're scoring a bagful, but less so when things aren't going as well. But a forward who wants to score whenever they have the ball is generally a good thing.

Have to disagree with that; when he was taking shots, it was usually when he had Sotirio and Waine ahead of him to pass to. If we're measuring things on odds, I'd back Davila to fire one in from outside the box ahead of Sotirio/Waine making anything happen.

Same. My son was so tired getting home at 930 the other day and not in bed by 10.
I think we'd easily have 3k+ at every game if all kick off times were around 5pm

I'm going for the first time this season. Bringing the whole family, first time for the two youngest, second time for the eldest.

I am aware I missed the free kids week but it didn't fit in for us unfortunately.

Any tips from anyone on getting tickets the cheapest way possible?

2 adults, 3 kids, aged 3, 6 and 7...

Also... I AM FIRED UP FARKEN

Thanks WanderingSheep.

Just had a look, only $49, great value imo. It says kids 4-15, so I assume that means my 3yo is free, although it doesn't specifically state that...

Looking forward to this massively! It's been a while!

I think under 4 is considered free assuming they wont take up a seat.....but yeah generally under 4 is free.

With everyone out of this game I think we are going to be fighting for a draw or narrow lose. We cant possibly win this match with a 2nd string side.

Naa my point is WSW are a better side then CCM and tented to score early in most of there matches. Im just not sure if our 2nd string team can compete with them.

Who are the 1st teamers who are out? The following is who I think are in:

Marinovic,

Payne, Tayor, DeVere, Libby

Devlin, Steinman

Sotirio, Uli, McCowatt

Hooper

Doesn't scream 2nd string to me. If fact, thats actually not bad at all, considering past seasons. We are only missing Ball from that who would be a deadset starter? Piscope maybe, and I guess rufer will be on the pine.

I think I might have saved you some stress there Royz. Unless you were making an anti-jinx. Shark you might have been. if you were, I will put my hand up now and apologies for us getting creamed on the weekend.

literally the only difference between this and many of our previous line ups this season is Hooper starting instead of Ball. No problems, strong side.

another good time for out of towners to travel to watch the nix, last week there were a lot of wanganui folk at the match ran into a few before the game and talked to some more over the last few days who were there on saturday.

so much easier to get people travelling for games when there is a good chance the team will get something out of the game and an earlier time slot should encourage more this saturday i hope.
