Club doing a minute applause for Ian Well pregame.

I already posted about Ian Wells in the RIP thread but just in case people don't realise the significance of this...

It's hard to overstate just how instrumental Ian Wells and John Dow were in the creation of the Phoenix. After the collapse of The Knights they did all the work on the bid and kept the idea of a Wellington franchise going for 3 months until Terry finally had his famous haircut. They did this with virtually no interest or support from NZF who were focused on finding new owners in Auckland. Without Ian's efforts it's fair to say there probably wouldn't be a Wellington Phoenix.

The club is doing a minute's applause right before kick-off, as well as the players wearing black arm-bands, and the Fever banner. All thoroughly deserved, so let's make it a good one.
