This game epitomised a poor football match. Poor pitch, poor ref, played by two poor teams.
A bit harsh on both teams I feel, though lacking a bit of quality in the box the second half was good end to end stuff. Not bad for the second game of the season. Nix still need an out and out striker though.
Agreed re striker
If we terminate Kopa's loan we need a defensive midfielder more than a striker. Mandi can't play 90 minutes every week and say what you will about the quality up front but we have Krishna, Burns and Williams.
And none of them have scored from open play in 180 minutes (I don't count Krishna's penalty follow up). In fact I don't even think the three of them have come close to scoring? Don't see any reason why Mandi can't play 90 minutes every week. The defense, so far, looks as solid as it's ever been and with more of a threat up-front we are really going to have teams on the back-foot this season.
