If I could be arsed I would copy and paste the comments of NUFC_NZ. the condradictions in the space of 45 mins are unbelievable. I wonder if Jeff Vader thinks Ernie subbed the wrong bloke still? Brockie made some mistakes early but at least he was getting into the position to make those mistakes.

There was some epic lols but if you hear Ernie on the radio this morning, even he says, the 1st 45 was an utter disgrace (he used the word disgrace but not sure the exact quote) so in essence, if you play like a disgrace, the angst is justified. Ragging on people after the fact with the benefit of hindsight doesn't make you right, it makes you smug. The fact is, they deserved to get paid out for what they produced early on. If you lock the forum down for 90 mins on match day and then have everyone post, I guarantee you that the posts would be completely different because of the benefit of a 2nd half performance. I think when you line it up against the Roar performance and then this, there is a lot of good stuff there and we could possibly sit higher up the table at the end of the year, than we think.

 

The point you make about the scape goating is valid. Lia had a horrible first 20 and rightly deserved the shit he got but to his credit, he bought it around and I think the last 70 from him was serviceable. I still think he needs to improve but if he shows in the last 70 what he can do for a full 90 every week, that will give our midfield infinitely more than at other times when he has played there.
