Really looking forward to this, even the weather seems to look like it might be playing ball.

Any news on how tickets sales are going? Really hope that some of those who are pissed off with CubaDupa going "off street" might head to the game instead as I doubt many would have done both.

Kopa deserves a start, as does burgess imo.  Would like to see Valeo's first line up I think.  Then we have a decent weapon coming off the bench in Singh

Kopa starts... what has he done wrong to not deserve to?

Hasn't done much wrong at all, in recent games. I think he's looked better at RCB than LCB, playing well.

But for this game, keeping Kopa on the bench means is a fresh pair of legs to cover Mandi and Rufer. If Kopa starts, you have one sub, Burgess (or Singh), covering the whole mid and forward line, and Golec Lowry and Doyle (or Gulley) covering the back three (and wingbacks).

I prefer Golec at LCB anyway - left footed, slightly better at playing out IMO, and extra height, better in the air, especially at corner time.

Burns can't even make the squad when we're down a striker or is he injured? Also, Doyle is back, will be interesting if he or Golec ends up on the bench.

Was just at the Rudan presser ahead of the game, Burns is injured. Otherwise, the squad is fully fit.

Your having a laugh with this one...

Kopa is also left footed, just shows how comfortable he is off his right that you haven't noticed this.

Golec is a big lad who gets his head on it and puts in tough tackles, certainly not the Hummels type player your description illustrates

yeah I know Kopa's also left footed - but in a couple of games he seemed short of ideas at LCB - back to the keeper or hospital pass to Libby. YMMV. There's no denying Golec is taller, a threat at attacking corners, and that Kopa can cover DM - where Golec can't.

Have to say I don't mind too much either way; both playing well.

Purchased tickets have a Pax number on them.

We got over 7 last week which was pretty good considering the timing of the game and the memorial for CHCH. Definately expecting 10 plus for this game, would love a crowd approaching 13 - 14k.

Permalink Permalink

PAX is usually 2-3k ahead of the actual number. And Cuba Dupa is on tomorrow, so the walk up crowd may not be as big as you may expect. Still, it would be good if we could crack 10k.

FFA finally recognising the appetite for football is huge in the capital? Enough for two teams?

Or, did FFA just realise that's the only way to blunt Yellow Fever's greatest weapon, C-Diddy?

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Gonna boo extra loudly today just to piss of the people who were moaning about it last week.

But seriously hoping to see Steven Taylor back in the side and really hoping to see Burgess to start. Even if it means Singh is on the bench. I think for sure Cillian and Williams start. Really feel they could link up well, picking Cillian to assist Williams.

Hoping for a good crowd and an even better atmosphere.

COYN !!
