I did not get involved in the above discussion because you are both right (but it was so funny to read it I did not want to stop it).
On a good day Roy is really good. On a good day Kenny is also good. We just need to get the right Roy and the right Kenny to turn up more often.
If I am reading Ernie's comments correctly (as to why he benched Muscat - to give him a break) then he is more concerned with our motivation and confidence than he is with our technical / tactical abilities. Kenny was a non-starter for most of the season and now he seems to be hungry and happy to get a chance to prove himself.
Roy may need the same, perhaps with the added bonus that he might be an easier player to "turn around" than Kenny, in terms of attitude and motivation (in that his opportunities elsewhere would be quite limited in comparison with Kenny).
