We wouldn't be there to just make up the numbers either. It's a bit sad seeing us play so well tonight, considering the circumstances. I'll take it but, anytime, over watching us lose.

Spain '82 is where it all really began for me. There were a few moments before, plenty of moments after, but that World Cup was the zeitgeist.

Genius defensive changes

So a reverse of the rest of the season, then - we can score now, but conceding like the Knights

bad timing when playing for a contract huh? Bit of a howler.

If he's going to play for us, has to shine with no defence in front!

Where's Dura? Injured? Suspended?

Our midfield continue to run away  towards their own goal and get in the way of our back four rather than shut Brisbane players down.

All i ask is for a team where the players show some pride in our jersey something we arnt getting or have had from many in this team. Many of them talk it up but its just BS.

Shame they cant show the same passion as their fans thankfully its another 6 months before we get put through the ringer again.

Got the ball cleanly. Just go clean through them. Then they respect you in Aussie. See Muscat, K. and broken legs

Get Singh and Ridenton on now

Yeh.

One mistake though?

It's a tough life being a keeper. The midfield can give the ball away time and again and the strikers can miss and miss, but you make one mistake as a keeper...or you thinking the second Holman goal too? That was flying!

Holman, Mclaren, Berisha- all these players we can't attract.

and when we get a Roly or Burns, we can't manage to keep him, unfortunately.

well. How long has Brisbane had Broich?

As soon as we subbed Finkler off that was it. Why take him off?
Watson, dear oh dear, off side for the whole ten minutes he was on the pitch. Should've given one of the youngsters a run.
Doyle, didn't close down Holman with any determination for his second goal/ Vinnie would have.

Weird game plan. Just attack at all costs. That's two deserved 3 - 1 leads we have given away.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Fudge me. Now we definitely won't make the Top 6 after a major pile of shark like that!

Oh wait....As you were.

It's not one mistake. It's a constant issue for him at both A-League and SS Prem level.

  • Kosta is terrible relative to his pay
  • Watson is not a-league standard - not even close.
  • We need a quality defensive midfielder.
  • We need new coaches.
  • Krishna is the only must sign player for next year.
  • I hope the only reason we didn't play Singh is because we are worried other teams will steal him
  • We should probably sign Rossi too... (and maybe McGlinchey if he isn't injured...), everyone else I'm pretty meh about
  • It's a worry how old lots of our team is (guys like Finkler, Lia, Durante) aren't going to be getting any better

Sums up the season. Some bright spots, fight our way back into the frame against the odds, and then deflated by some absolute footballing darkness.

I liked the lineup and formation from the first half, we had them, they didn't expect the onslaught and the licence to play some good quality, high intensity, attacking football. That said, you shouldn't lose when you're 3-1 to the good. Put it down to naivety and tactical (un)awareness, and possibly a few players trying to blow off some steam as a last hurrah for the season. Regardless, you shouldn't lose from 3-1...

We could've done the double in Brisbane - Unheralded territory before that second half, unfortunately...

I enjoyed the game despite the result.  Would have been good to have held onto the lead when we were 3-1 up.  But I'll take it over other results we've had over Brisbane in the past.  That ground has been a grave yard for us.  I look forward to next season with a little bit of optimism.

I hope after that shambles that no drongos tonight start talking about how close we were to making the six

Sorry yeh- I meant one mistake since he's had the senior gloves that we've seen.

You've told us it's been an issue at the lower grades.

I enjoyed the game too, but a loss is still a loss. Very good first half, appalling second half.
