Lots of fun in the fever zone. Quite a few locals joined in. Kids too. We done to those from Welly for the trip up and the banner. Nice drumming Doloras.

Jets 4:1 and Kennedy gets himself a bit injured in the process  - looks like a dislocated finger.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Players...
Sail had my heart in mouth too many times.
Galloway Dura Fox and Cacace all very good.
Paracki and Weemac battled well. Luijic some good passes & assist. Singh outstanding. Roy and Burnsy still not on song. Roy butchered a couple of chances.
Rossi was shocked to see him get a run after nothing for months.

By now Jets are in full swing again - Ernie had a good chat at halftime for them falling asleep late in first half.

Still 25 min to go so there might be few more goals in here.

Nearly one more, but called for offside.

However, now a penalty for the Jets!

Poor old Josh Rose. Not a great way to end your career.

Donovan makes it 6 from the spot. Newcastle crowd chants "we want seven". C-Diddy develops high blood pressure. Phoenix avoids the wooden spoon. Mike Mulvey looks on from the stands with a stony expression on his face.

And young Riley Mcgree gets himself a hat-trick. Lovely to watch. There is something of our Singh in him.

Nix beating City and CCM losing to the Jets by a new A-League record 8-2 (10 goals in a match)

What a night. Yes Phoenix!! Avoided the spoon and didn't look like the most embarrassing team in the league at the end of the season. Woohoo!

Croud apparently 4312. At least double what I estimated, but at least Napier Phoenix didn't get to start his #domeout protest

Well done lads. Not a pretty game by any stretch but we avoided the spoon and beat Dario.

Well done those of you who went to the game and well done YF for the rusty banner. Well impressive.

Here's hoping we get a new coach shortly and regather ourselves next season.
