The Welnix seem to be telling the media that if there is a good turnout more "home/ away" games can be expected.

Our pleas have been taken on board then.....

Can we have OUR Phoenix back please?

Seriously?

Do they not realise that there is a massive novelty factor in these games for those local crowds - if you do too many you lose that entirely and you lose the base in Wellington as well. It's a lose/lose situation.

I think there is a place for home/away games and I'm ok with a small number but they need to be very careful how they do it or risk lower crowds on all fronts.

I agree. It is good to have a couple of games a season regularly in a larger place (say Christchurch, Dunedin, or Auckland) - a single annual game in Christchurch is a fixture and is well supported. Spreading them out through provinces is a different story. I see it strictly as a one-off novelty factor with limited benefits. I agree that that it can easily wear thin regarding the Welly home base.

If you want novelty, then bouncy castles, face painting and lots of one-off shirts for charridy will do that.

Had hoped to be up there but unfortunately not to be.  Aiming for Akld for third year in a row.

I enjoy Home and Away games but three is one and a half too many.
