Got to get McGlinchey into this game and that probably means taking Muscat off !

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

certainly not out of this.

There are any number of players out on the park who can create a bit of magic. Our discpline for the first 30 was fantastic and we just shut them down. They couldn't play and were so frustrated. We were the better team.

I'm sick of losing versing Victory at Victory.  I demand a victory.

Ernie running scared and not playing Doyle + playing a hacker like Lia does not send a message that we've gone to win the game.

Are you watching a different game mate? Thought at best it was even ; they looked the more threatening. Certainly we are still in it, but we would not be if they had their full team.

What? Brockie for Rodriguez????????????????

What the fuck?

I think the consensus on Lia of late is that he's a better player than he's been given credit by the scapegoat tag, when he's had the freedom to play a different role in the midfield.

Brockie for A-Rod? A bit hard to fathom.

I would prefer that we won rather than lose..

I think we have done ok. We looked a good organised side, a bit unlucky to be down really.

Plenty of hope for the future whatever happens tonight., we are trying to play it around on the deck and doing well for the most part.

Ernie has lost his marbles ; what has Lia done to deserve staying on over Rod?

On the positive side we are usually about 3-0 down to MV by now.

Glass half full. That's the stuff. Haha.

I don't think we're out of the game. Just need to not suck.

Roly's crisp pinpoint pass at the end there nearly had us equal. If only Burns could put away 1v1's he'd have another 3 or so goals to his name.

Muscat and Fenton have both been poor, I get the thinking behind playing them both but it's been a fail.

As for Lia, slow as a wet week - just gives away fouls and the ball. It was his lazy foul that ultimately cost us a goal.

Shake it up Ernie.

He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

yeah I thought we've been pretty good. Some really nice, quick passing.

I can see his reasoning. Problem is MV are simply a better team than us, whatever eleven we field and whatever gameplan Ernie uses.

Please tell me that A-Rod is injured. Thought he'd played quite well.

We need a goal we should bring on a forward - but instead we have Brockie!

LOL he will probably go and get a winning brace now to prove me wrong

If you look at the average position for the first half at A-League.com it seems clear that we were playing a 4-2-2-2.

the player Louis is marking looks  very good player I don't think he would be the only one to struggle against such a good ball player.

don't get why A-rod was dragged.

I think he is hoping to let Roly sit deeper to the position he has been the last 3 weeks and push Lia into Rodriguez'. Thats the only think I can think of. I also think Brockie will chase a bit better up front. A few have mentioned it in the comments thus far. Just not sure he was the guy to bring off when I thought he was one of our better ones unless he has a knock.

You can tell already that McGlinchey is going to play more centrally in this half.

I think we have all identified with that. A coach with his head about himself would identify that and make an adjustment i.e. sub Fenton.

Before I go, I thought after a shaky start Fenton did pretty well. Not an easy opponent. Still in it. Just.
