It's a vicious cycle - the media don't give us coverage because no one cares, and no one cares because the media don't give us coverage. 

The fact that it's behind the EPL in the hierarchy is BS too. I can't think of any other sport where a foreign club comp would regularly get better coverage than a local comp. The Breakers regularly get way more coverage than the NBA, for instance.

If the Breakers hadn't won all of those titles they would get diddly squat local coverage. Lesson for the Nix there.

When the breakers were dominant the NBL was pretty much bankrupt and the Breakers were the financially dominant team, the Phoenix will never be able to match that level of success, the A-League is too close and the big teams are too far ahead financially. The salaries and salary cap in the NBL are also much lower than the A-League.
