Hmmm. Last minute of Greenie interview: diplomatically basically admits that Gareth/Welnix meddling in the Nix management has not been popular among the players. Combined with Iffy's recent tweets apologising to Ricki for his crap performance recently, and I think the idea that the players wanted Ricki out is farcical nonsense based on prejudice.
I don't think we will ever know what really went on behind the scenes. Of course whenever a coach gets sacked the players are going to have some sympathy. Not like Ifill was going to tweet "haha suck on that" even if he wasn't happy.
There are some interesting surnames on the "Herbert out" Facebook page. Plus one Phoenix player wouldn't be happy some one of his family members posts about Herbert.
Got to remember even if they weren't happy with how Herbert was coaching its still tough for players to see someone leave who has been with the club for a while.
I would say its probably a combination of some players not being happy with Herbert and some not being happy with the owners.
