There certainly has been some people being silly buggers, and none of it is coming from the YF or the Port. (It isn't Domey playing this up, we have heard of a name they call themselves)

There is a "fake" animosity that seems to be happening that some people are making real, that is much worse on Facebook and Twitter. Some seeming to think there is some massive rivalry now like El Clasico and The Old Firm, it is just likely to be some keyboard warriors that have been talking up what they are going to do but when it came to it on game day, nothing would have happened.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) this started coming out a couple of days back, clubs were aware but seems the news was too. Which is why we now have the story tonight on 1 News and on the website. https://www.1news.co.nz/2024/10/30/nzs-maiden-a-league-derby-marred-by-threats-of-fan-violence/

Both clubs and supporter groups have come out against anyone being stupid and if anyone were to try it from the Fever, we will quite happily point them out to the police in the stands.
