They're giving themselves plenty of time because they're used to Auckland traffic and not a walkable and liveable city.

Haven't been to Welly for awhile, but from the outside what I read is there will be broken pipes and open sewers to navigate as well, no? Closed shoes required.

Nah, they're walking past Parliament, the excrement's in the buildings around there.
