I think it is because Ticketek needs to know which seats they can and can't sell for upcoming games. It's frustrating, but the club can't do anything about it. I know a few people that have bought them, so even if it's not a perfect deal for everyone, it's worth offering as it get's more people signed up to a membership.

Surely they can come up with a system where you can walk up to the stadium on the day, hand over your flexi, they scan it (to deduct 1 game) then present you with a match day ticket. Wouldnt be that hard at all

That's what the Phoenix wanted.  Apparently not possible.

I think there is a simple solution to this...we've never got close to fill the entire 32000 seat stadium in regular season, so they just need to allocate a dedicated area only for Flexi 6 pack members, seats reserved.  When you buy a flexi 6 pack, Ticketek books out a particular seat for all home games, but only give you 6 tickets.  So everytime you scan your ticket you get that seat, that seat is not for sale even if you don't turn up...

The system could easily be implemented, I call it more laziness on ticketeks behalf . I can think of an easy way of implementing it within 5 seconds. Get a sheet of paper with the flexi ticket fans, I doubt there would be that many. Then Flexi Ticket fans go to ticket collection box sign off they got a ticket for the game and go into the ground. Easy as. Post match, data gets collated and then maybe once you reach 5 games an email is sent out advising you the games attended.
