Tegal, check my history I haven't called 2nd best out for many years.

I also don't randomly call you out but only with good reason.

You have always been the  love child of some online random provider so I was interested if you were going go get your kit off for the competition or be left online.

What about that time a week ago when you said that you tell girls that your name is Dale Warburton when you are drunk? That's pretty much calling 2ndBest out.

I've enjoyed a service, yes. But any attempt by sky to advertise (and just generally do) football better is something I encourage. Im hopeful that sky can change. So I don't really understand what you're on about, and why you thought of me.

I drink coke but that doesn't mean I'd be against being in an ad for Pepsi (which I don't like as much).

Having said that, my first reaction was to cringe. Hopefully it's well done.

Not to mention how creepy that is.

Anyway...Have you had many volunteers for this ad or will I have to start going to the gym for the next 2 weeks?

Gym.

Seriously - if anyone else is keen to be involved, flick me an email to patrick@yellowfever.co.nz. At the moment it's just going to be myself, Ballane, and a few others.

Any ideas on time, locations? Asking cause I work in Newtown and that would make a difference on if I can get there etc.

Unfortunatly not, the Sky Sport team are filming with Wellington Rugby on the same day who are being slack in replying due to some rugby game that is apparently important this weekend.

My suggestion would be to email me anyway so you'll be one of the first to find out when we have the details locked in.

Fine I sent you an email...

I would like to get my kit off, but it is dependent on time/location due to work

Just because he disagreed with you in that thread 2 years ago you go to these lengths to try and take potshots?

Bizarre.

The locations need to be:

  • Fritz's Weiner stand
  • Blanket man's old spot,
  • Hanging with the old tennis ball juggling dude
  • Asian Haven
  • cuddling a pigeon
  • Wainuiomata

fudge yeah real easy to be a hater but then again I don't profess to be creative and because I may not be creative  I am not allowed to have an opinion that I dislike something?

But how about maybe a montage of some of the fantastic goals we have scored over the years

Hate away on that if you like. I won't be offended or guttered if you do because your opinion just like mine is perfectly valid. I won't even ask you if you have a better idea

Actually how about not doing this promo, take the money saved (and with a couple extra bags of bling), add it to the miniscule tv rights you pay so you, Sky TV,  can continue to come up with lame promos for the Nix for 10 more years

Rights are relative to viewer numbers, promos generally amongst other things increase viewer numbers, need an calculator?

So what Sky pays is fair and ample? Thumbs up.

Plus the amount of money a promo like this costs Sky wouldn't make a lick of difference to the A League tv rights deal. It's not like Sky are spending hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars on filming a few guys taking their shirts off.

I understand what it would cost to make a promo like this, I know it's not much.

I just think if Sky are serious about promoting the Nix/A League then they should be looking at the rights deal (if as reported it's a sticking point for the FFA to extend the Nix license) so they have a product to promote beyond this season.

I don't believe the sum they pay is fair, but I'm not saying it needs to be a multimillion dollar deal either.

Fair to who? They obviously value it an amount and if they can't get more viewers they are not going to significantly increase what they pay

Perhaps the FFA should be  promoting the A league. Is it the Nix job? Do the Bling pay for promotion in Sydney

Yes the FFA should be promoting the A-League, Welnix should be promoting the Phoenix team

There's plenty of threads on the forum for discussion like that. This isn't one of them.

Sounds like the plan is to record a bit in the Fever Zone in the stadium at 11am next Wednesday. Everyone is welcome,  to make it look like it's an actual matchday. Just wear something Phoenix/Fever.
