Dessel Sport gets Stein Huysegems back to Belgium

Huysegems leave New Zealand after two years.

WED 11/05/2014 - 19:03Stein Huysegems has a contract with second division Dessel Sport signed. The 32-year-old Huysegems played football the past two seasons with a club in New Zealand.

Stein Huysegems (32) wore the shirt in Belgium Lierse and Racing Genk. After several passages in the Netherlands, for instance in AZ, Feyenoord and Twente, the midfielder / striker moved to Australia.

The past two seasons he was there to work for Wellington Phoenix, a New Zealand club which plays in the Australian A-League. Huysegems scored there 15 times in 48 games, but his contract ran off. He was quite a while back in Belgium and maintained his condition at Lierse.

The 15-fold Red Devil signed a contract for two seasons at Dessel Sport. The second division is after 13 matchdays only 15th with only 10 points.
