Stein got injured in his second game back in Belgium for Dessel Sports on 22 November and was taken off after 24 minutes.

He hasn't appeared since (the four remaining games before the winter break).

He had scored in his first game for them on November 14 in the 2-2 home draw with Mons.

Ernie must have had knowledge of his injury weaknesses and it would have been a factor in not offering him more than a one year deal.(Stein had struggled with injury for a few seasons before signing for the Nix and his old club Lierse wouldn't offer him a contract).

Once again, Ernie gets things just right.

Dessel's next game  = January 17

Stein will be playing in front of generally much smaller crowds than the A-League in the Belgian second Div:

Belgium's a small country, much smaller population than the Netherlands or Australia.

Dessel Sports averaged 1,115 last season.
