How awful is the standard of all the candidates on this show?

Number 8's video was great.
Straight to tv.

And you are right.. Athena's was a lot like thin lizzy.

Missed out on this because telstra was out for most of the night.Stefan2010-04-06 23:12:46

I like Dave to win, he fights hard. First losing PM to not be fired (I think)

Haha that's exactly what we were thinking of, those ridiculous Thin Lizzy adverts.

Yeah Dave was on fire in the boardroom, ripping Karen a new one. He's witty and quick.
Dave might be a serious contender as he also has that cheese factor. He's smart but also has that ability to be cheesy, look like a goober and not care as long as he's selling.
Dan and Tom were my original picks to win, 1 down.

But seriously how unfair was last night? Number 8 destroyed them, it sucked that team Athena got off on that technicality. Didn't deserve it at all. I realise it was a big mistake but I don't know.
Gutted aye, I liked Dan.

I am getting far too in to this show. A lot of emotion invested.

Don't think Athena should have got the prize for 'winning' the challenge. Theirs was a pretty pathetic effort really, should have been sent back to the hotel to contemplate just how lucky they were.

Im just going to put it out there, the Apprentice is wonderful wondeful television. Yeah its cheesy and forced and small scale but I find it to be gripping telelvision.

Dan and Dave had been my picks to win it from the get go but I am thinking maybe Tom and Nicky now. Dave is getting to close to the edge for me.

But also my other theory is, for that Karen women to be involved in the last task (I think she is in that photo from the stadium) then she would have to be in the final 2 because I can't imagine anyone picking her to come back to help because none of the women like her.

I'd like to see more of the planning process.

It's an interesting choice:
Do you work hard for the team to win - and risk making a mistake that gets you fired - or stay in the background to avoid being fired.
The people that do nothing seem to survive the boardroom, which is weird ...

I was backing Dan to win; now I don't know.
Tom is a 'safe' choice; does he ever do anything exciting?

Yeah that photo really makes you think Tom and Karen in the final...
Tom I can see in the final... Karen how-ever I don't know.

Tom doesn't do much though, if anyone in No8 had time last night to look at the internet it was him and he didn't. I don't know why Nicki got taken into the boardroom instead of him.

my thoughts entirely; the people who stay in the background, don't contribute, nod non-comittally when decisions are made (but express vague doubts when interviewed to camera to cover themselves) seem to breeze thru this competition.
But it was a good laugh last night when team no 8 were hi-fiving at the win, only to be told they were disqualified! Brilliant bit of drama.

Anybody remember back to Bob Jones, media darling and property developer of the '80's?

I reckon he would have been brilliant playing Terry S' role

Apparently he was offered the job and turned it down in disgust...
Someone said Terry was around pick number 8 for the show.

Jones is a bit of a twat

With the candidates being third rate - they should really have a playoff match against Hard News. Just like Championship.

Fully. I have to admit having a soft spot for rubbish NZ reality shows like this as well. My previous favourite was NZs Next Top Model. I ony watched a few episodes, but laughed my @ss off every time. The New Zild uccents were choice.

If you don't want to know who won then don't read this post...

Okay today i went to Moore Wilsons and guess who walked out. Dave. Followed him and he just went down the road and straight into the Century City Apartments. Clearly he won. He didnt live in Wellington before.

I would guess that they have to get the prize to satisfy the sponsor who would have paid to be shown.

Yeah arnies, i kicked him out of the Goldlounge at the cinema because he snuck up. He was a prick to be honest  got unnecessarily angry with me straight away and yelled, then sulked and moved.

A real shame, because i liked him on the show.

So the best and brightest business talent in the country sneaks into the cine-lounge part of the cinema because he is too tight to pay the extra $10 or whatever it is.  Jesus NZ is a simple country.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Hi Tegal,

Dave from The Apprentice here... Sorry for the attitude mate - you caught me at a bad time. When we sat in our seats a group of girls started taking photos of my girlfriend and I and then made a few rude comments about her so we moved up the back and out of sight.

I'm not really that good with people taking photos of me when I'm on a date or being stalked home from the supermarket etc. Most of the time this stuff is really funny but when if effects loved ones - not so much. Whatever the case it's no excuse for giving you grief and when you're a prick like me you can use all the support you can get! If it's any consolation my girlfriend gave me a bollocking for embarrassing her and you may be able to make a few bucks if you sell your story to the women's mags. Keep up the good work and if you ever see me at the Four Kings say hi and I'll buy you a beer - I'll even give my seat up for you if I'm in one of the recliners.

Good stalking skills Arnies... I'm impressed. A few of the guys have been back and forth to Wellington for various reasons and when we're in town Mr Serepisos always puts us up in his place because he's just that kind of guy. Don't read too much into it because none of the contestants know who wins.

I broke my "not commenting on blogs" rule for this one but it's the last you'll hear of me ranting unless I'm on TV. Enjoy the show...

which one is Dave? the PM from the last challenge? If so I hope he wins cos he covered his arse magnificently last week by laying into a few of the others. He was like a poor mans Smithy.
