Phoenix come through for me (and maybe someone from here put a word in?)! See you all on the bus!

Now if only they'd email me the details like they said they would...

You should soon have an email from us with some information. Mainly

  • We are leaving at 8:30 on Saturday
  • Boycie is opening the Backbencher for us from 7:30 for breakfast
  • You need to email back with your room buddy's name so we can begin allocating rooms.

It is yes. In town, there's Crowded House, Peggy Gordons and The Black harp

Don't know New Plymouth at all, can you park near the stadium?

Yes might need a 5-10 minute walk depending on time you get there, there are lots of residential streets around the ground, easy to find a park (well it was when I went up for the U20 games in 2015)

The Nag N Noggin is up on Tukapa st. It's about 500m walk to the ground. It's a small sports/public/tab bar but if you are looking to load right before KO then walk, that's the place. Bertie at Peggy's most likely won't do you a deal but he may have a bus on. Crowded House usually stick a bus on to and from the ground. It's been a few years since I lived there but those would be the places I'd look at.

Should have the below email in your inbox

Departure details:

When: 8.30am, Saturday 4th Feb

Where: Molesworth St, outside Parliament adjacent to the Backbencher

Just a handful of days before Fever Tour kicks off. Below is some final information.

The bus will leave from outside Parliament, across the road from the Backbencher. Departure is 8:30am.

Boycie is opening up the Backbencher early especially for us. So pop down from 7:30 am for a feed and show him some love.

For those who wish to partake, you are allowed to drink on the bus. All we ask is that you do it responsibly. We’ll provide a couple of bins with ice to help cool whatever drinks you plan to bring.

We'll be stopping in Whanganui for a quick lunch before carrying on to the Auto Lodge Motor Inn.

They are also opening up their bar, Juliana’s Restaurant and Bar, early for us so we’ll set up base camp there. They are putting on $6 handles especially for us, perfect for getting your vocal cords lubricated for the match.

On Sunday we'll be leaving New Plymouth from outside the Motor Inn at 10am, after we have checked out. Don't forget that your accomodation includes a free breakfast, so factor that in when setting your Sunday morning alarm!

Remember that our tour doesn't include a ticket the match, so don't forget to get your paper ticket printed if you are a season member (the members redeem hotline is 04 384 2457), or purchase an individual ticket if you aren't.

Your ticket also scores you a free Big Mac from the local Macca's in New Plymouth. If there's interest, we may stop the bus there and collect our 50 collective Big Mac's when we arrive in NP.

That’s all from us. See you all on Saturday morning.

COYN.

Just had confirmed that Barbara is our driver again. She took us to Napier. She's a bloody legend and is totally fine with taking us to and from the ground.
