Being a two legged cup, doesn't winner get decided like the two leg matches in the champions leg?

Am I correct in believing the first leg finished 4-nil to Auckland?    If that's the case it's basically doubled the goal tally of an Auckland team in A-league related fixtures and gave them there first clean sheet?

So we need a 5-0 win to lift the trophy? Damn, I shouldn't have been so hungover in the first leg then.

Yeah we played really well in the first half, GGW missing a few sitters. Then he left, and the hangovers took their hold and it was all downhill.

I also think we should do it in the same season. But this game is already being billed as the second leg. So guess we keep it that way as it'd also be cool to hand out the awesome trophy this weekend - we can play the Auckland game this season as a one off, then next season the 2 legs will be in the same season.

I missed an absolute sitter in the second half too. Donkey.

Much excite for the game.

Not concerned about going in with a 4-0 deficit. Confident with the Wellington squad.

Like J Christie, I've been working hard in the off season and have been "desperate" to get into the squad. (And that's where the Christie comparisons end)

Just hoping we don't play the nighthawks 4-2-1-3 formation (or whatever it was)

Hey all, if your coming up to watch today and fancy a run bring your boots.  I know there's a couple of spots in both teams left to fill, so there's a good chance you'all get a run out.

Cheers

Fire up. If only we had an away goal to bring into this match.

Blame the hangover you gave me from all the Totori Lemonades the night before.

Currently 3-1 to the Welly Fever.

3-2 due to a news error apparently.

I certainly did not give away a penalty and I certainly did not get sent off.

I for one am embarrassed by the seemingly woeful Auckland defence. 13 goals.... yeesh!

Crikey. Were Dorkland channeling the spirit of AVB?

Mind you this was in all probability good, honest, coal face amateur-yet-plucky local football vs slick professional Australians powered by Tim Tams.

Great fun had by all, I think. Thanks to the organisers.

I grabbed two goals, and fluffed a chance at a hat-trick, in a 13-3 win for Wellington Yellow Fever over Auckland Yellow Fever, overturning a 4-0 loss away in Auckland in Leg 1 earlier in the year.

Final score, 13-7 on aggregate, and Wellington win the inaugural Fever Cup.

Cameron McIntosh has some photos from before and during which I'm sure he'll post soon, but here are mine from afterwards. Let me know if you want high-res versions:

Triumphant.

Do a little dance.

Can I drink from this?

Wellington Yellow Fever.

Fun version, kind of.

Who are ya?

Still annoyed I didn't get that hat-trick.

Obligatory.

Still immensely proud of my efforts to deny you said hat trick.
