Maybe get a couple of people to hold that banner in the zone or over directly in front of the tv cameras

Wuway I believe are the people responsibile. I'd like a name of the person representing the company whom told the Nix to do it.

Now if you feel that you can't go on

Because all of your hope is gone,

And your Nix is filled with much confusion

Until winning is just an illusion,

And your team around is crumblin' down;

Phoenix, reach out (come on Nix, reach on out for me)

Reach out (reach out for me.)

Aisle Ten, with a song that will shelter you.

Aisle Ten, with a song that will see you through.

What tunes do they play to? Hatters song of course as well. I'll print some off on Friday, just in case there's more than 5 of us!

Yes.  There is a good idea.  Attempt to alienate the large multi-national throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars at the club.  I'm sure there is a massive queue of others lining up to replace them...

Do you really think Wuway give a crap about this? Let's be honest, five people (Hopefully more) are hardly going to make Wuway fall over. Sony were a good sponsor too. Great prizes from them at the various half time competitions. Are you making Wuway appear like a last resort sponsor?

It's just an observation or comment on what has happened
Perhaps we could just say nothing and not renew our membership next season
That's where I am at the moment.
Taking the last game of the season away is the last straw for me

Cheers guys for the suggestions, we'll be in the shade. Can a Mod please add  Feb 17 to the title. Think we'll give it a go to iron out anything and then still do the main protest on the 25th. I have to find my white Nix top that has Lonegunmen on the back to identify me.

"No to Auckland", "Last game", "Disappointed" could be short and sweet ones. The Wellington Phoenix Supporters facebook page haven't taken down my pasted effort from here so If they are happy to allow it, then I will put any updates on there too.

Ps: This is soley a peaceful protest, I'm not going to abuse players, coaches or other crap like that. But being close to the Subs benches, I know they hear you in the crowd. Perhaps a few "No to Auckland" chants might get noticed. If there's actually a few there, we might start up a few of the Zone songs to help out. Dura in particular.

'Disappointed' is my pick. Short but sweet. Also shows we have more discrepancies with the club than just a simple rescheduled game

I think, "you don't know what your doing" from aisle 10 should cover it.

Or even "Wellington is wonderful"

Yeah, with things being very precarious at the club who knows what small thing might break the camels back. I doubt Huawei are happy with the return on their investment and so if the fans are actively hostile that might be the difference between them signing or not. No sponsors, no club.

Hopefully, but still the club signed the sponsor and the club made the decisions to take games to other centres. I'd be directing my anger at the club and not the sponsors personally.

If Huawei want to throw money at the club and it means 2 games are played in Auckland then surely that's an acceptable compromise, as long as it's known by everyone at the start of the season.

What's not OK and should be the direction of the anger is the way the club went about rescheduling the second game... and their lack of communication and regard for the fans in general.

Nothing like a good protest.

Just need a picket line and some scabs.

And the club did the communication and timing of the announcement.

Have to assume that some people at the stadium don't belong on this forum and won't have a clue what's going on

Therefore a banner isn't probably a bad idea

obviously needs to be short and to the point so they can quickly figure out the purpose of the protest and join in if they see fit.

Seriously: a banner reading something like STOP TAKING OUR HOME GAMES TO AUCKLAND is the bare minimum to get your point across.

No, but if a person who sees the banner on TV or at the ground and knows nothing of the background can't see INSTANTLY that it is a protest and what you are protesting, it is a wasted effort

Have been so pissed off at the NIx in recent times I didn't even watch the last home game on Sky.

This protest will at least lead to increased viewer numbers for Sky TV.
