Thats the single most important question I think

We have no coach

We are not signing our own players until we have a coach

But we are approaching Jason Hoffman?

One could suspect the new coach may have already accepted (and kept on the hush) and identified this player to start the process?

This is just speculation on speculation, so I'm not saying this happened: But the only way I find us approaching Hoffman acceptable is if both candidates for the Nix job were asked about what sort of players they want the club to be chasing in the interview process, and they both had eyes on Hoffman. A possible explanation but no proof.
